In an interview with ETimes Ankita Lokhande admitted that it was the partner Vicky Jain who had encouraged her to participate in the reality show.
She also said that she hasn't attended the show in order to establish any kind of impression about herself. She said that she's watched Bigg Boss for many years but it was just this year that she decided to try her hand as an contestant.
She added that when she was offered the chance to join forces together with her husband she saw no reason not to agree to taking part in the show.

In the midst of all this, Ankita Lokhande also spoke about her mother, who was, she explained, slightly nervous about her role in the show due to her openness.
On the other hand, Ankita added that she is going to make her mother proud. Regarding her character she stated that despite the fact that many think she was dominating, the truth was that she was not an overbearing person.
In fact she was an easy-going person which she believed everybody will experience through the program.
